Earlier this week The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) confirmed a positive Covid-19 case at its Pockets Hill studios in Harare.
ZBC has announced that it has suspended its programme – Good Morning Zimbabwe until its offices have been completely sanitised.
The programme was usually aired at 06:00 hours to provide local and international news headlines.
“ZBC would like to inform our viewers Good Morning Zimbabwe will be off air until our studios are completely sanitised. We apologise for any inconvenience,” ZBC announced,
The broadcaster joins a number of companies and or institutions that have so far suspended services over the coronavirus.
On Monday, the Parliament of Zimbabwe suspended business after its driver, journalist and two legislators tested positive for the coronavirus.
There has been a surge in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases lately with local cases growing at an alarming rate.
